EUNICE~It is with great sadness that the family of Cecilia Leger announces her passing on Thursday, June 25, 2015 in the comfort of her home surrounded by loving family. She was 87. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on 2:00 pm on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata. Burial will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery with Father Joseph Tran Celebrant.

Cecilia was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a wonderful, dedicated, generous and hard working Mother. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her two sons, Melvin Paul Thibodeaux and Anthony A. Thibodeaux and wife, Tammy all of Mowata; her five daughters, Marlene Robles and husband, Noel of Yuma, AZ., Margaret Fontenot and late husband, Roland Fontenot of Carencro, Betty Fontenot and husband, Larry and Theresa Simon and husband, Clarence all of Eunice, and Susie Karimi and husband, Siamack of Merrilleville, IN. She was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, and further blessed with eleven great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Thibodeaux; a son, Joseph Roy Thibodeaux; her parents, Armas and Lorena Aguillard Leger; one great granddaughter, Mackenize Fontenot.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 9:00 am until time of services. Father Austin Leger will recite a Rosary at 11:00 am Monday morning.
