EUNICEIt is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family of Carolyn Wenner Ward announces her passing on Wednesday, June 05, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette at the age of 77. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 08, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Eunice with Pastor Tim Moffet officiating.

Carolyn was retired from the St. Landry Parish School Board with over 27 years as a teacher as well as a Sunday School teacher for over 20 years. She had a love for playing tennis, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. But most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her loving husband, Jerry T. Ward of Eunice her five loving sons, John Louis Ward and wife, Suzanne of Lafayette, Clint Taylor Ward and wife, Katheryn of Alexandria, Glenn Randolph Ward and wife, Leah of Pineville, Stacy S. Ward and wife, Melissa of Mena, Arkansas, Doug M. Ward and wife, Jackie of Lexington, Kentucky her loving daughter, Kay Ellen Tarnowski and husband, Glen of Vero Beach, Florida. She was blessed with thirteen grandchildren and further blessed with three great grandchildren. Also mourning her loss will be her favorite canine companion, Cricket.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Louis and Thelma Blanchard Wenner.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church in Eunice on Saturday, June 8th from 9:00 am until time of services.
