BASILEIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Carol Fontenot Green announces her passing on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile. Interment will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery with Deacon John Eaves officiating.

Carol was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her including her three sons, Curtis Paul Reed, Kirk Joseph Reed and Kevin James Reed all of Basile her daughter, Donna Lynn Veillon and husband, Troy of Basile her father, Mateas Fontenot of Kinder her two brothers, Matthew Joseph Fontenot of Austin, TX and Jason Jude Fontenot of Kinder her sister, Phyllis Fontenot of Basile. She was blessed with nine grandchildren.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved mother, Neecy Vidrine Fontenot brother, Ronald James Fontenot and a grandchild Jakob Kyle Reed.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Wednesday, May 16th from 2:00 pm until time of services. Deacon John Eaves will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening.
