EUNICE-Funeral services for Mrs. Joe Carmen Amy will be held on Monday, July 17, 2006, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Carron Cemetery with Fr. Cedric Sonnier officiating.

Mrs. Amy, age 92, and a resident of Eunice, died on Sunday, July 16, 2006, at 7:00 a.m. at her residence. Mrs. Amy was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Amy; two brothers, Francisco Castellon, and Phillipe Castellon; two sisters, Melida Martinez and Amanda Castellon.

The visitation will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2006, from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. and again on Monday, July 17, 2006, from 8:00 a.m. till time of services. A rosary will be prayed Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.

Survivors are her son, Joe A. Amy and wife, Denise of Eunice, LA., a daughter, Socorrita Darbonne and husband, Jr. of Eunice, LA; 5 grandchildren, Carmen Miller, Joseph Carrier, Bryan Darbonne, Elizabeth Carrier, and Cathy Darbonne; 2 step-great-grandchildren, Bryan Keith Darbonne II and Briley Kate Darbonne.
