EUNICE-It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Carl Wilson Domingue, of Eunice, announces the unexpected loss of a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery in Eunice with Father Michael Sucharski, SVD officiating.
Carl was born on June 10, 1958, to Donald and Madeline Reed Domingue in Crowley, LA. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and went to the Air Force Academy where he became an electrician. Over the years he has been an electrician for the Savoy Medical Center, LSUE, and offshore for Danos.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, crabbing, gardening, carpentry, and was a wonderful pen and ink artist. Carl was truly kind and had a loving and generous heart and was always doing for others.
Carl will be deeply missed in so many ways. He leaves behind loving memories to be cherished by his loving wife of over eighteen years, Thanda Louviere-Domingue of Eunice, his parents, his son Chad W. Domingue and Brittany White of Baton Rouge, his son Bryan Domingue and Victoria Bellard of Rayne; two sisters from Crowley – Donna Domingue Myers and husband Ronnie, Karen Domingue and fiancée Mike Hanks. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Annika Domingue, Evelyn Bellard, and Arabella Domingue, along with nieces and nephews as follows: Mandy Broussard (Godchild) and husband, Trey; Logan Campbell and Naomi Istre; Lexie Hebert and husband, Devin, along with great-great niece, Norah; Karley Campbell (Godchild); Jennifer Myers and daughter Gracee; Beth Myers and EJ Comesana, great-great niece, Alaina, and great-great nephew Lane; Kayley Aucoin with husband, DJ , along with great-great nephews Evan Touchet, Cohen Aucoin, and great-great niece Lainey; Kevin Schexneider (Godchild), and wife Gabrielle, great-great nephews, Eli and Franklin; (all from Crowley). Carl will also be deeply missed by his in-laws, Andre and Nadenia Fabacher, Callie Fabacher, Jada and Jonathon Smith, and Elizabeth Smith, all of Eunice.
He is preceded in death by his infant grandson, Gabriel Domingue, maternal grandparents Murray and Cecilia Reed, paternal grandparents Wilson and Dorothy Domingue, and his in-laws Bennett and Nettie Louviere.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, October 24th from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, October 25th, from 9:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Monday.
Family and friends may view the obituary and sign the guestbook at www.ardonfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carl’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Heart Association.
