IOTA-Cama Lee Hebert Leger entered into eternal rest from her home surrounded by family and friends on Monday, March 10, 2008. The Lord blessed this earth with her birth on February 10, 1933 in Iota, Louisiana. She was married to her soul mate and beloved husband, Jesse Pierre Leger in a double wedding in 1950 along side Joanna Leger and James Seilhan. More than three decades of her life were spent in Port Sulphur, Louisiana where her and her dearest established a strong family unit by raising nine children all while she maintained employment in the Plaquemines Parish School System as a cafeteria worker at the local school. Her lifes journey then brought her and her family back to Iota where she continued to be a true matriarch , looking after all of her relatives. Her constant faith and brilliant baby blue eyes will remain vivid in all of her loved ones memories forever. She is preceded in death by her parents, Azanore and Lydia Hebert; ten siblings; Hillary, Hazel, Milton, L.C., Alvin Poncho, Johnny, George, May, Lena and Euna; and one great-grand-child Joshua Kaleb Leger.

Cama Lee leaves to cherish her precious memories and loving husband, Jesse P. Leger; two siblings, James Hebert and Lou Alice LaCombe; her adoring children; Judith and Larry Romero, David and Winnie Leger, Catherine and Steve Bartet, Cheryl Leger, Jacqueline Leger, Germaine Leger and Julia Weiner, Dwayne Leger, Matthew Leger, and Michael Leger; 25 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Special thanks would like to be made to Louisiana Hospice Palliative Care of Jennings, Louisiana for the loving care and support given to our family as we prepared our loved one to depart this life.

Relative and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 1:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota with burial to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Mikel Polson Celebrant. The family request that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota from noon until time of services on Thursday. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Wednesday evening.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Louisiana Hospice Palliative Care, 522 North Main Street, Jennings, Louisiana 70546 in the name of Camalee H. Leger.
