EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 06, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice for Buford J. Miller, 78, a retired ticket agent worker for the railroad and a resident of Lake Charles passed away on August 29, 2008 at the North Oaks Hospital in Hammond. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery in Eunice with Father Ed Duhon Celebrant.

Buford is a graduate of St. Edmonds and Spencer Business College and also attended South West Louisiana College in Lafayette. He was a 2 year Veteran in the United States Army. He was a patient man who was an ally, friend and advisor. Family and friends who couldnt remember information would call Buford because he had an excellent memory. He loved to travel and had an eye for fashion, style and color. Buford impacted many lives with his thoughtfulness, kindness and most of all he was very close to his family who extended to nieces, nephews and cousins. He is survived by his brother, Dr. Luke John Miller and wife, Ruth of Hammond ; a niece, Alida Miller of Odenton, Maryland; a nephew, John David Miller of Hammond; and a great niece, Andi Miller.

The family request that visitation hours begin on Friday, September 05, 2008 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, September 06, 2008 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Saturday evening.
