Brent Charles Lanthier

November 26, 1982 — November 28, 2024

Eunice

EUNICE-It is with deep sorrow that the family of Brent Charles Lanthier announces his unexpected passing on November 28th, 2024.  Born on November 26th, 1982, Brent was brought into this world on Thanksgiving Day and our Lord called him home on Thanksgiving Day, 42 years later.

Brent was a cherished father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend to many. He had a zest for life that was seen through his infectious laugh, jokes, and as one of the older grandchildren of his family, teasing his 19 younger cousins to get laughs out of everyone. He had a love for everyone with a big, compassionate heart. Brent was passionate about sports and a devoted outdoorsman. Brent especially loved being on the water, fishing. His heart for others and appreciation of nature spoke volumes to his love of the simple joys of life.

A proud and devoted father, Brent leaves behind two children, Danica Shay and Jack Owen Lanthier. He was a loving brother to Danny Lanthier (Meagan) of Towanda, PA. Cassie Bullock (Seth) of Evangeline, a grandson to Lenora Bergeron of Eunice, an uncle to Emma Lanthier, Chloe, Tanner, and Andi Kate Bullock, and a great uncle to Haisley Johnson. Brent also leaves behind a fiancé April Devillier, and her children Sydni, Nikkie, and Braxton.

Brent is preceded in death by his parents Nadine Bergeron Thibodeaux and Glenn Lanthier, a stepfather Larry Thibodeaux, paternal grandparents Henry and Hilda Lanthier, and his maternal grandfather Jesse Bergeron, with whom he now shares a death anniversary, both being called home on November 28th, 15 years apart.

At the family’s wishes, visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM BY Deacon Gary Gaudin. Visitation will resume on Wednesday December 4th, 2024 at 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Services will be at 11:00 AM at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard, with Father Korey Lavergne as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Edward Cemetery.
