EUNICE The children of Billie H. Manuel are saddened to announce that their beloved mother has passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at home with them by her side. She was 92. A Celebration of Life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Eunice on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the St. Louis Cemetery with Rev. Doug Milliron officiating.

She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her son, Billy Haristy and wife, Gloria of Crowley, her daughter, Essie Dell Smith and previous husband, James Herman of Eunice her six grandchildren, Cathryn Matte and husband, Todd, Wayne Haristy, Sharon Haristy, Gregory J. Smith, Bruce P. Smith and wife, Heidi and Michael W. Smith and wife, Joni her brother, Ralph Charles Hogan of Duson her eight great grandchildren, Taylor and Morgan Matte, Kirsten and Hunter Smith, Callen, Naomi, Cole and Nykell Smith. Also mourning her loss is her godchild, Betty Dailey and other family members including, James Pitre and wife, Jean of Lake Charles and their three sons, Billy, Steven and John Pitre, Brenda Pitre Torrence and husband, Jean of Baton Rouge and their three children, Corey, Blake and Leslie Torrence and Melinda Pitre Boenig and husband, Kenneth of Basile and their three children, Kelly, Chris and Matt Boenig.

Billie now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Burkman Manuel her parents, Charles and Dell Millian Hogan her brothers and sisters, Alvin J. Hogan, Corine Lewis, Hettie Atkinson, Dora McManus and Mary Hogan.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, October 29th from 10:00 am until time of services.
