IOTA-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota for Beulah Sonnier, 99 who passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette after a long and successful life. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Joseph Mausoleum with Father Mikel Polson Celebrant.

Mrs. Sonnier a native of Iota and a resident of Lafayette. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends. She touch the hearts and soul of everyone she met. Left behind to cherish her memories are her nephew, Dr. Richard Miers and wife, Catherine of Lafayette; her three great nieces, Adrienne Crozat of Washington, DC, Anne Kammer of San Diego, CA and Alyce Saucier of Denham Springs; her great nephew, Rick Miers of New Orleans; her great great nephew, Nicolas Crozat of Washington, DC; and her great great niece, Aimee Crozat of Washington DC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dutile and Agatha Pousson Sonnier; her brothers, Ivy Sonnier, Vernon Sonnier and Gaston Sonnier; and her sister, Verlie Sonnier Miers.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, April 23, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening.
