EUNICEA devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Betty Joyce Young Ardoin will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Betty died Thursday, April 05, 2012 at the Opelousas General Health System at the age of 83. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 09, 2012 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.

Betty was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She leaves behind a son, Dr. Stan Ardoin and wife, Christie of Oklahoma City, OK two daughters, Janet Corbello and husband, Cecil of Opelousas and Carla Gregg and husband, Kerry of Decatur, TX. She is also mourned by her grandchildren of whom she was very proud of Isaac Ardoin and wife, Crystle, Rachel, Anna and Ethan Ardoin, Karrie Lafleur and husband, Kevin, Dr. Jesse Corbello and wife, Naomi, Wes, Will, Sarah, and Sydney Gregg her three great grandchildren, Luke and Cole Lafleur and Jack Corbello who were a great source of joy as well as nieces, nephews and friends.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Ted Ardoin her parents, Adras and Thelma Stroderd Young a sister, Lillie and a brother, Clarence.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, April 8th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Monday, April 9th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Sunday evening.
