Bessie Johnson Bischoff

EUNICE~ It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bessie Johnson Bischoff announces her passing on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Oaklane Wellness and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 84. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Sam Fontana officiating.

 Bessie was born on May 14, 1940, in Swords, La to the late Anderson Tee and Anna Miller Johnson. A dedicated homemaker, Bessie poured her heart into nurturing her children and supporting her family as a farmer's wife. Bessie found great pleasure in playing Bingo, but her true passion lay in her crafts. Whether sewing, crocheting, drawing, or painting, she had a remarkable talent for turning simple materials into beautiful gifts for those she loved.

 Bessie will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her children, Frederick Louis “Socco” Bischoff, II and wife, Tina of Mowata, Nick Anderson Bischoff of Mowata, and Jackie Bischoff Pitre and husband, Mitchel “Beaver” of Houston, TX; her sisters, Lucille Webre of Maringouin and Jenny Tripicco of Virginia Beach, VA; one grandson, Drody Paul Pitre of Houston, TX; as well as extended family and friends.

 She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Louis Bischoff, Sr.; her parents; and sister, Pat Hammond.

 At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 9:00 am until time of services.
