EUNICE The children of Bertha Fruge Robbins are saddened to announce that their beloved mother has passed away on Monday, November 2, 2010 at the Camelot Nursing Home of Broussard with her family by her side. She was 88. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 04, 2010 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Jerry Mesley Celebrant.

Bertha was a longtime resident of Eunice. She was a homemaker and the things that brought her the most joy in her life were devoting her life to the care of her family. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her son, Michael G. Robbins, Sr. and wife, Cynthia of Broussard her three daughters, Harriett R. Kreswell and husband, Philip of Eunice, Katherine R. Larson and husband, Edward, Jr. of Vacherie and Gwen R. Comeaux and husband, Keith of Lafayette. She was blessed with nine grandchildren, David Kreswell, Michael Robbins, Jr., Scott Robbins, Eric Larson, Kevin Robbins, Jon Comeaux, Ashley Bilello, Aimee Comeaux and Will Robbins, she was further blessed with thirteen great grandchildren, Megan and Morgan Kreswell, Alexis, Trey and Keaton Robbins, Kanon, Ryland and Foster Robbins, Evan Larson, Sawyer and Kaiser Robbins, Lindsie and Lilly Bilello and was proud of her one great great grandson, James Michael Dickinson. Bertha will be loved and remembered in our hearts forever.

Bertha now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Harry J. Robbins her parents, Augustine and Clemonce Courville Fruge her son, Wilbert J. Robbins and two brothers.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, November 3rd from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, November 4th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:30 pm on Tuesday evening.
