EUNICEIt is with great sadness that the family of Bernadine Frey Sittig announces her passing on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at her home at the age of 97. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Joseph Trahan and Father Cedric Sonnier officiating.

Bernadine was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was very personable and giving but never wanted to be in the spotlight. She loved to cook for her husband, the crew and the cowboys. The crew called her old girl and Nuffie but most importantly she was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her five children, Linda Gail Hebert and husband, Clyde, Jeannie S. Francois, Karen S. Dodd, J. D. Bunskie Sittig, Jr. and wife Deborah Yogi, and Karleen S. Landry all of Eunice a brother, Paul Frey of Mowata. She was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, J.D. Dooley Sittig her parents, Louis and Oza LeBouef Frey and her granddaughter, Kelly Jo Landry.

At the request of the family visitation will be at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, September 24th from 4:00pm until 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday, September 25th from 7:30 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Monday evening.

Carrying her to her final resting place will be her grandsons, Mike Hebert, Lynn Hebert, Joey Hebert, J. D. Hebert, Kal Landry, Jody Sittig and Ryan Sittig.
