EUNICE-A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 10:00 am at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice for Batson Adam DeBarge, 90, who passed away Monday, January 19, 2009 at his residence. Burial to follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Cedric Sonnier officiating.
Batson was in the pipeline industry for 35 years and also a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Hazel C. DeBarge of Eunice; a daughter, Elaine O. Naquin and husband, E.J. of Eunice; a sister, Daphne DeBarge of Monroe; five grandchildren, Cindy Moreau, Debbie Fontenot, Nelton Naquin, Michael Johnson, and Dave Johnson; eleven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Batson will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adeoul and Anesia Bertrand DeBarge; a daughter, Norma Johnson; and a brother, Harold DeBarge.
The family request that visiting hours be observed on Monday, January 19, 2009 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Monday evening.
