EUNICEIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Barbara Sittig Coutee on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was 63. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday, April 27, 2012 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Emmanuel Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Barbara was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving women and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. Barbara enjoyed her coffee every morning and she loved to sew. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her husband of 25 years, Douglas C. Coutee of Eunice her son, Lucas Miller and wife, Maddie of Eunice two daughters, Angie Comeaux and husband, Chris of Basile, Cindy Spell and husband, Harry of Richard four brothers, Larry Sittig and Ronald Sittig and wife, Judy all of Eunice, Alvin Moss of Mississippi, Joseph Thomas Sittig of Eunice a sister, Janet Weber and husband, Wade of Minden. She was blessed with eleven grandchildren and further blessed with two great grandchildren.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved father, Armond Sittig her mother, Agnes Moss and stepfather, Johnny Moss.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, April 26th from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Friday, April 27th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
