Audrey was born on June 30, 1956, in Lafayette, LA, to the late Lindberg Fontenot Sr. and Betty Blanchard Fontenot. Throughout her life, she found joy in simple pleasures. She enjoyed babysitting, had a talent for baking delicious treats, and could often be found immersed in puzzle books. The vibrant spirit of Mardi Gras captured her heart, and she always put her love into preparing Thanksgiving feasts that brought family together. Saturdays were extra special as she cherished listening to Cajun music alongside her sister, creating beautiful memories to hold close.

Above all else, Audrey's deepest love was reserved for her grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and joy. She eagerly anticipated her grandson Devin's baseball games at LSU, cheering him on with a heart full of love. Her affection for her grandson “Bubba” filled her days with happiness, illustrating the profound bond they shared.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Kenny Fontenot and wife, Stacie of The Woodlands, TX, Derrick Deason and wife, Cissy of Basile, and Ashley Deason and husband, Caleb Delafosse of Youngsville; her siblings, Roland Fontenot, Sr. and wife, Vickie of Basile, Jr. Fontenot of Crowley, David Fontenot of Jennings, Randy Fontenot and wife, Rachel of Basile, and Becky Benoit of Basile; eight grandchildren, Devin Fontenot, Trevor Fontenot, Alayshia Deason, Chase Delafosse, Alijah Hardy, Tryston Delafosse, Aiden Delafosse, and Dexter Deason; her Godchildren, Roland "Jody" Fontenot, Jr. and Jenna Vincent; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William “Tee” Mitchell Deason; her parents; and sisters, Yvonne Bart and Janet Fontenot.

Carrying her to her place of rest is Alijah Hardy, Devin Fontenot, Trevor Fontenot, Roland Fontenot Jr., Derrick Deason, and Kenny Fontenot.
