EUNICE Our mom, Annie Bell Cormier passed away on Thursday, August 02, 2012 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was 92. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sunday, August 05, 2012 at 1:00 pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Mowata with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.
Annie was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. Precious memories of her will remain forever in the hearts of her children including two sons, Linus Cormier and wife, Gerrie of Eunice, Henry Lee Cormier and wife, Gail of Youngsville three daughters, Lima Jane Kibodeaux of New Iberia, JoAnn Hebert and husband, Lynn of Spring, TX, Brenda Smith and husband, Carlos of Tee Mamou two sisters, Adline Babineaux and Wilma LeJeune and husband, Iceal all of Richard. She was blessed with seventeen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Lester Cormier her parents Constant and Lucille Fux Matte her brothers, Austin, Louis and Elzie Matte her sisters, Christine Opry, Elvina LeJeune grandson, Brudley Kibodeaux II and a great grandson, Brandon Harlow.
At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, August 4th from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Sunday, August 5th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Saturday evening.
