EUNICE~It is with the heaviest hearts that the family of Annette Duplechin announces her passing on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the age of 56. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice with Father Sal Istre, Celebrant.

Annette has been an employee with Entergy for 18 years. She loved many things, including softball, animals, and the beach, but most of all she loved her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her especially  her wife of five years, Monica Gaspard Duplechin of Sulphur; daughters, Mikaela Darce and Camille Darce, both of Bell City; brother, James Weldon Duplechin and his late wife, Christine of Chataignier; sister, Suzette Marie Duplechin of Chataignier; mother-in-law, Roberta Gaspard of Jennings; sister-in law, Crystal Harrington and husband, Scott of Holmwood and their children, Brady and Peyton Harrington; brother-in-law, Steven Gaspard and wife, Brittany of Holmwood and their children, Kaden, Liam, Cage, and Kenna Gaspard; nieces and nephews,  Zachary Duplechin and wife, Jeanette of Mamou, Casey Landreneau of Chataignier, Luke Duplechin of Chataignier, Nikki Oquain and husband, Josh of Moss Bluff, Brooke Howard and husband, Paul of Lafayette, Brett Duplechin and wife, Erin of Chataignier, Paige Duplechin of Lafayette;  great nieces and great nephews, Kaitlyn Duplechin, Connor Duplechin, Blaine Duplechin, Jacob Landreneau, Brantley Oquain, Zoe Howard, Hayes Howard, Collin Duplechin, Colt Duplechin, Ava Duplechin; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herline and Mary Lee Rozas Duplechin; brothers, Keith and Andrew Duplechin; sister, Stephanie Duplechin; and father-in-law, Harry Gaspard.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, March 31st from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Thursday, April 1st from 9:00 am until time of services. Deacon Chuck Ortego will pray a Rosary at 6:15 pm on Wednesday. Masks have also been requested to be worn for visitation and services.
