EUNICE-Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, October 21, 2006, at the Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice for Mrs. Anne Prudhomme Adams, 100, who died Tuesday, October 18, 2006, at the Oak Park Health Care Center in Lake Charles.
Interment will follow in the St. Louis Cemetery in Eunice with Chaplain Allen Celestine officiating.
Mrs. Adams was longtime resident of Lafayette as well as an avid homemaker for many years putting her children, friends, and family first. Mrs. Adams always had a good meal served for her family to also include sewing by re-designing garments and crocheted beautiful afghans. In her later years, she specialized in oil painting of flowers, landscapes, and birds as well as being a licensed florist. Mrs. Adams favorite Bible Verse was the 23rd Psalm as well as a lovely scripture from the book of Proverbs that was dedicated to her from her daughter Patricia; Proverbs 31:29-30 Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all. Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman, who fears the Lord, she shall be prasied.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Johnson Adams of Iowa; daughter-in-law Margie Adams of Alvin, TX; son-in-law, John Morgan of Lake Charles; one grandchild, Michelle Flowers of New Brunsfels, TX and four great-grandchildren.
She was blessed to have outlived her family, and many friends and relatives including her husband, P.R. Adams, parents Oscar Prudhomme Sr., Mollie Prudhomme; son, Roy D. Adams; daughter, Phyllis Morgan; six brothers, Gilbert, Coley, George, Grant, Harry, Oscar Prudhomme; three sisters, Mabel Young, Lydia Obermeyer, Wardie Latta, and one grandchild R.M.P. Adams.
Visitation will begin Saturday, October 21, 2006, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
