EUNICEIts with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend, Amy Aline Fontenot, on Wednesday, June 08, 2011 at the age of 26. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Thomas More Cemetery with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.

Amy was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her including her parents, Anthony and Donna Fontenot, Sr of Eunice her maternal grandparents, Shirley and Ethel Lavergne of Eunice her paternal grandmother, Ruth Gautreaux of Judice but most of all the little joys of her life her three daughters, McKenzie Claire, Adalie Elizabeth, and Gabreilla Marie all of Eunice. Also mourning her loss are her five brothers, Anthony Fontenot, Jr. and wife, Monica, Jody Fontenot and wife, Tasha, Kyle Fontenot, Todd Gautreaux and wife, Jodie all of Eunice, Jonathan Guillory of Mamou and her sister, Cherie Crochet and husband, Mark of Eunice.

Amy now rests in Heaven with her beloved daughter, Carly Aline and her paternal grandfather, Robert Prejean.

At the request of the Fontenot family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, June 10th from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, June 11th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Friday evening.
