BASILEIt is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, Amos J.Jimmy Johnson, Jr. on the morning of Friday, March 08, 2013 at Eunice Manor Nursing Home. He was 71. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 09, 2013 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Basile. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father David Hebert officiating.

Amos, better known as Jimmy was a Shriner and A Scottish Rite Mason, a Mason at Lodge 349 in Elton, a member of International Clown Association as well as a member of the Jeff Davis Shrine Club. He enjoyed riding as a clown in parades and entertaining children at the surrounding circus. He would transport crippled and burn children to respective hospitals. He will forever be loved and missed by everyone whose hearts he touched especially his wife, Morella Johnson of Basile his five children, Dana J. Miller and husband, Thomas of Clanton, AL, David Chad Johnson, Kristie J. Bertrand and husband, Danny, Kayla J. Stokes and Jeffery Scott Johnson and wife, Brooke all of Basile a brother, Dorestan Johnson of Eunice three sisters, Devena Watson of Katy, TX, Evelyn Villarrubia of Metairie, and Beryl Ortego of Eunice. He was the loving grandfather to nine grandchildren, Tom Miller, Brent, Lane, Emily, and Steven Bertrand, Daenen Stokes, Hallie Jo, Adam and Macie Johnson.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Amos and Odile Johnson, Sr.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Friday, March 8th from 4:00 pm until time of services on Saturday, March 9th. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Friday evening.
