IOTAA wonderful mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend Alverda Sis LeJeune will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Alverda known as Sis to all who knew her died on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Eunice Manor surrounded by her loved ones. She was 84. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Entombment will follow in the St. Joseph Mausoleum with Father Mikel Polson Celebrant.

Sis was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters Association and Legion of Mary. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her five sons, Rudy LeJeune and wife, Yolanda of Iota, David LeJeune and wife, Phyllis of Riche, Jerry Dale LeJeune and wife, Tammy of Thibodeaux, Tommy Joe LeJeune and wife, Terry of Egan, Shelton Wimpy LeJeune and wife, Melanie of Eunice her daughter, Sharon Carrier of Eunice her three sisters, Anna Reed of Eunice, Yvonne Simar of New Iberia and Esther Lynch of Baton Rouge. She was blessed with fourteen grandchildren and further blessed with eighteen great grandchildren. Also mourning her loss is a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Now she rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Shelton S. LeJeune her parents, Joseph and Lucy Gotte Roy and her soninlaw, Johnny Carrier.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota on Friday, September 16th from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, September 17th from 8:00 until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Friday evening.
