EUNICEA wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Alice V. Hebert will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. Alice died peacefully on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Oaklane Wellness Rehabilitation Center in Eunice surrounded by her loved ones. She was 98. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 pm on Friday, July 29, 2011 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the Calvary Mausoleum in Lafayette with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant.
Alice was a housewife who loved working in her community. She was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Daughters and church choir as well as a member of the Eunice Garden Club. She also had a special love for flowers and gardening. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. Alice will be lovingly remembered by her two children, a son, Earl Hebert of Sarasota, FL and a daughter, Elaine H. McGee and husband, Judge Frank McGee of Eunice. She is also mourned by her eight grandchildren of whom she was very proud, , Dr. Nolia M. Norra, A.F. McGee, IV, Melaine M. Wagner, Darlene and Charles Hebert, Denise, David, and Dale Hebert her five great grandchildren, Thomas Norra, II, Trinity Grace Wagner, Robin and Melissa Hebert and Brennan Cenac were a great source of joy.
Now she rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Dudley Joseph Hebert a son, Donald James Hebert and her parents, Edward and Edith Hebert Vincent.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, July 28th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, July 29th from 10:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Thursday evening.
