Alice Bacon Guillotte

 It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Alice Bacon Guillotte at the age of 79. Alice passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at her home, with loving family by her side. A Mass will be held on Wednesday July 17, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile, followed by inurnment in the St. Augustine Mausoleum, with Father Keenan Brown, Celebrant.

 Alice was born on December 13, 1944, to the late Fulton and Mary Glade Lafleur Bacon. She dedicated her career to education and retired as a beloved schoolteacher. Alice had a passion for travel, with Santa Fe holding a special place in her heart. Her kind and loving nature touched all who knew her, especially her devoted husband of twenty-nine years, Jerry Guillotte from Lafayette. She is also survived by her siblings, Rebecca Bacon, Jimbo Bacon and his wife Christine, and Georgie Courville and her husband Steve, all from Basile, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

 Alice was preceded in death by her parents and great-nephew Hayes Daniel Courville.

 The family has requested that visitation take place at St. Augustine Catholic Church from 9:00 am until the start of the service.
